Amara reports on communities, migration and the forces reshaping cities. She is interested in how global decisions are experienced at street level.

Before joining Newslora in 2021, Amara spent close to a decade reporting for regional and national titles, learning that the clearest stories usually start with a long conversation and a careful look at the documents.

Amara works closely with editors across the newsroom and appears regularly on The Newslora Podcast. Story ideas and tips are always welcome through the editorial desk.
